Why Meditation?

Sometimes I would feel nothing, I was smiling and busy but just moving through what I thought was a normal day, normal week, normal month. I think it's called surviving.

Do you feel like one day blurs into the next? Does one month blur into the next month?

I did, but I think it was more like the year blurs into the next year. And year after year the same thing.

Yes, I had 3 babies to look after and a business for some of that time, life was busy. I looked after my family to my best ability and they were always my number one priory. I knew I had 3 beautiful children and a wonderful husband. We were a healthy active family, and time was just flying by.

I sometimes think about a few of the social events that I had gone to over the years and I try and remember the friends I was chatting to or an interesting conversation that I may have had. But seriously I can’t remember the majority of them.
I just was not connected, with myself or that moment.

I always felt like something was missing from my life but didn’t try too hard to seek it out, I think I was just too scared to find the answer because deep down I knew I was hanging on my life with a thread.

It wasn’t until my husband and I were talking in bed one morning that everything came out. (that’s another story) That was my turning point! I had to do something.
I had been wanted to change but was sitting back, scared and not thinking about what real life was about!

I really didn’t know where to start and I can’t even remember how I thought of this at the time, it was just one of those moments that was meant to be. We have a good friend called Jon Gabriel and he had created Visualization Meditation Programs. We have known Jon for years he was in The Food Matters documentary, Hungry for Change documentary and The Abundance Code and probably lots more but I don’t know them off the top of my head.

I started Jons 21 Day meditation for Weightloss, I wasn’t even looking for weight loss at the time I was looking for ‘normal’ meditation. But saying that I did lose about 6 kilograms of weight that I had tried to lose for the last 10 years!
I started day 1 and was fully blown away with all the emotions it had bought up and how powerful meditation was. Oh my gosh, I was a crying mess for days.
This was defiantly not just about weight loss. I could feel such a huge shift in me, even at the very beginning. I started doing them 3 times a day, I could feel that this was the best way for me to move forward.

Yes, I did lose a few extra kilograms, but what I have gained in life is unbelievable. The passion I have for life and love now is greater than ever before, I'm calmer, happier and when I feel the amazing feeling of gratefulness that is speechless!
