Did you know we breathe anywhere between 20-30 thousand breaths in just one day!!
Being aware of your breathing is an excellent way to calm your mind and body in a stressful situation.
The biggest thing we have to do is draw our attention to our breath to make us feel better because we all breath we just never give it a second thought.
I had to be taught to breath more efficiently in a stressful state. Especially when training in CrossFit.
Breathing in efficiently and softly is called conscious breathing.
Conscious breathing is a way of getting more air into your lungs and not stressing the body.
You don't need to change your breathing pattern just be aware of your breath even if it's for 30 seconds. Give it a go at least once a day and I would suggest you do this in the morning even before you get out of bed.
Conscious breathing works wonders too if you are dealing with cranky kids ๐
