But the first thing to recognize is the feeling of overwhelm when it turns up. Most of the time we just ignore it and keep on moving, but from my experience that is the worst thing possible.
When we ignore our feelings of overwhelm, it can lead to negative emotions like anger and sadness. That's what happened to me. I became someone who was always trying to control outcomes, isolated myself, thought I could do everything on my own, and put up an emotional wall around everyone. But through so much self-healing, learning, and growing, I found my happiness tools.
Everyone's happiness tools will be different, but I'm happy to share some of mine with you. They include being in ketosis, meditation, beach walks, music, exercise of some sort, learning a topic I'm passionate about, and, believe it or not, coaching women. I absolutely love helping, sharing, and caring. It puts me in a state of gratefulness, which is an emotion that cannot be topped in my world.
