Tasty Basil Mince in Bulk

Ingredients:

  • 2 kg beef mince
  • 1 whole leek sliced or onion 
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 Zucchini
  • 5 Carrots
  • 1/2 head of shredded cabbage
  • 6 chopped tomatoes or a tin of diced tomatoes
  • 5 teaspoons of Garlic or garlic cloves
  • 3 heaped teaspoons of Oregano
  • 2 heaped teaspoons of Rosemary
  • 8 Sprigs Fresh basil leaves (a whole heap a good 2 handfuls)
  • 8 Tablespoons Coconut Aminos
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 800mls of bone broth or bone broth powder with water

Method:

  • Sauté the leek in butter or oil until it's tender and translucent.
  • Add in your grated vegetables and tomatoes (Use any you prefer)
  • Add all your herbs, salt, pepper and garlic
  • Add your mincemeat and brown off well.
  • Add your Coconut aminos
  • Last, add your bone broth. I used about 800 MLS.
  • Leave simmering for 30 minutes
  • We served this with Cooked and Cooled Rice.
